Fantastic experience! Our tech (Marcus) was incredibly kind, professional and communicative which was so appreciated considering our chaotic schedule with four children! Lisa accompanied the installation team and was very helpful. Nick and Trent were very efficient and professional. Installation was done in a clean and orderly way, and went smoothly. They explained the procedures of the security system well. We will definitely recommend Bates for those looking for a security system

We had to call a few times to to get a better understanding of what to do in certain cases and they were always there willing to help. Very understanding and super nice. They felt like family by the time the installation was done. I am willing to use them for my new home security system when it's built next year.

Excellent customer service! The install was done by a well trained technician. Marcus was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He went the extra mile throughout the entire install process. His explanations were thorough, and he was very accommodating to any of our requests or service needs. He was helpful and patient with our team while explaining how to use the system and the app. He took additional time when needed to explain or clarify all of our questions or concerns.

I read previous reviews and contacted Bates based on their high scores. However, my experience was less than stellar. The price quoted was excellent and I believe their products are good as well, but the interaction I had turned me off. Over the course of two weeks, I was contacted repeatedly, which I found intrusive. I was referred to an electrician and was in the process of contacting them, but the Bates salesperson has already done that and then showed up when the electrician was here. While they may be good, my experience was most unpleasant particularly when it came to actually signing the agreement. I will look elsewhere.

I did the paperwork with the sales agent Jerry during the evaluation and he said he would hold on to it till I decided but I wasn't interested and needed to speak to my wife for clarification it got kind of pushy and I didn't want to say it but I said we would discuss it. I said I can't give you any payment information and he said it's ok if you decide then call me i felt uncomfortable even signing stuff when he left so I called back and said we weren't interested again he said well I'll hold on to your paperwork and let me know when you are. Too pushy for me. Not sure I even want home security now.

I have Bates Security system installed in January of this year (2015). And we feel a lot better knowing we are protected by the police and fire service. It gives us peace of mind now that we did not have before when we are at home or away! It's so easy to operate, you can install an app on your cell phone and set your security system after you leave home and just before you arrive back home! Also the pricing is very reasonable!

I have used Bates Security several times now and I have always been satisfied with them. I have moved a few too many times over the last 20 years but in each home I have had their service. I have always been impressed with their professionalism. Their knowledge in designing a system that works for me is good and the installation of the actual system is done by a seemingly well trained and professional technician.
Their inside staff has always taken care of any of my needs when I call in. Bottom line I am happy with the services I have received and I have recommend them to many people. They are a locally owned company which is always a plus for me.

I trust them implicitly. They provide services for my home and business and are the best that I have ever used. Reliable service and exemplary customer support whenever necessary, which is almost never. The pricing is competitive, even with the national chains but the service is far superior to what the others' offer. I have been VERY pleased to deal with this family owned and run business. I found out the hard way. They told me it was a 2 year contract and I find out it was a 4 year contract after the first 2 year contract was completed. Same old equipment. I agree should have went with a national company. Not to mention the contract price went up on me after the first year. it is going to be a long 3 more years. Buyer beware!

We have been very pleased with our Bates Security system. We love that it allows us to travel without worrying about our home. Zack installed our system and was very helpful and patient with us when teaching us how to use our system. We would recommend Bates to anyone in the market for a security system.

Beware of contract. They claim its like a cell phone but charge you for the hardware (which you don't own) and then lock you into a 4-year contract with auto renewals. Lots of hidden fees and they charge to service the system. Pay more for a national company and avoid getting nickel & dimes with long-term deceptive contracts. They'll show you all the happy emails to convince you they are a hometown locally proud company. Don't buy into they hype.
