Shortcut Keys - Commercial Version
Smart business owners know that they need to protect their business with a security system. These systems can protect your employees, your inventory and your facility. But your system wont do a good job of protecting you if its confusing or difficult to use. You want a system thats fast and simple for you and your employees. Our keypads give you shortcut keys that make turning your system on as easy as pressing a single button, with no complicated codes to remember. For example, you can press the number one button to arm your system as you leave the building. You can remember that the A button lets you ARM the system. The keypad confirms you armed it on the display and with an audible confirmation tone. The system starts a countdown to give you time to leave your facility. When the countdown is completed, the system automatically arms itself. You can also arm only the perimeter ... the exterior doors and windows... of your system with the number six button, the Perim shortcut key. Remember that you use the P key to arm the Perimeter. Here are some other shortcut keys. Your system may sound a chime each time a protected door is opened. Press and hold the Chime shortcut key, the number five, to turn your door chime on or off. For monitored systems, our keypads also include marked buttons that let you summon police, emergency or fire personnel even faster than dialing 9-1-1. Press and hold the two keys for the emergency responder you need for two seconds and help will be on the way. Using shortcut keys, you can instantly arm your system and quickly perform many other common functions. Very courteous and patient while we got used to the system and all our false alarms. Had one call during the night where police were called. You stayed on the line with my wife and kept her calm till the police arrived. Police were nice and walked through the house and around property till problem was found. Excellent!

Thank you for the call I received early Friday morning. I was in such a sound sleep I didn't know my garage was on fire. Because of your call there was damage only to the inside of the garage and smoke damage to two rooms in the house. Who knows what may have happened to me if it wasn't for your call.

Zach provided us with service that was way above and beyond. Other service people would not do what he did. He made sure that when he left all our problems were addressed and we are grateful for him. No short cuts or its not my job. He fixed what we needed fixed and it was done professionally, perfectly, and neatly. Zach respected us and we have great respect for him. Also, I had service by the same company for a different issue and, again, excellent service was provided. You can't miss with Amherst Alarm.

Poor support. Installed furnace alarm with package. Furnace died while we were in Florida. Found Water Pipes had froze when we turned water back on. Fine print on REVERSE of Contract states only responsible up to $250. Even if NEGLIGENT & AT FAULT. We also DID NOT Have CABLE for internet. Still pics ONLY & at Night, USELESS! Knew we had cats. Motion Sensors USELESS when AWAY.

I have been a client of Amherst Alarm for almost 25 years. They installed my original system and a few upgrades over the years. They are always respectful of my needs and don't try to sell me things I don't need. Technicians are knowledgeable and tidy about their work. I live on the border of two towns and the city, and it is a comfort to know they are local, and can appropriately dispatch the correct services when needed. BUYER BEWARE I have been with Amherst Alarm for almost 25 years. Over the 25 years I have watched their customer service slowly deteriorate and today it looks like they have hit the bottom. Technology like NEST has eclipsed the value that Amherst Alarm once provided and their lack of customer service or concern for the customer should make any perspective or current customer think twice. They will NOT be there when you need them. Customer Service Rep just hung up on me!

Very frustrated regarding service after the sale. Numerous phone calls go unanswered and/or the people we speak to promise to get back but never do. Our office system requires an upgrade to use remote features, you would think that would be a no brainer but no one on their end seems to know how to follow through. I have a Sonitrol alarm system installed at home which has been upgraded several times over the past 20 years and they have always been very responsive and the upgrades seamless.
