Our company was founded in 1978 by Myron Mueller to provide superior security services to the Rancho Santa Fe area and surrounding communities. Over the years, there have been many changes in the security industry. Some changes have been positive, such as the vast improvement in security technology. While other industry changes have not been as positive, such as the lack of customer service resulting from the multiple mergers and acquisitions by enormous consortiums interested more in the financial bottom line than providing true peace of mind.

In 2000 Rancho Santa Fe Security Systems expanded with the addition of California Advanced Protective Services' (CAPS) account base. Still family owned and operated, Rancho Santa Fe Security Systems and Rancho Santa Fe Protective Services continues its commitment to provide clients with superior quality in product and customer service.

With the introduction of Video technology, we now have the ability to watch over our family and home from our workplace or watch over our business operations from our home. RSFSS designs and installs video camera systems to suit most any budget, from small simple systems to elaborate remote controlled systems. Video cameras are strategically installed around your property to meet your specific security needs. The cameras are then connected to a digital storage controller which controls the video cameras and records activity onto a digital hard drive. With remote video options, you can connect your digital storage controller to the internet to monitor your property remotely yourself.

Commerical Access Control

An Access Control System provides controlled access for the doors of your property to control your assets, information or people. This is provided by equipment that requires an authorized person to present some form of identification to gain access through protected entry points around the property. Some options for identification include magnetic swipe cards, proximity cards and keypads, as well as more sophisticated equipment such as state-of-the-art biometric readers for fingerprint and/or facial recognition, and smart card readers/programmers.
