I think the customer service in this case is that lack of need for service.

Our company has had Washington Alarm for several years and the service has continued to decline. It takes weeks to get a response, and then only after multiple attempts. New equipment installs continue to fail. Upgrades requested took two months to get an estimate, only after paying the deposit did Washington Alarm indicate it will take another three months before they can install the upgrades. We are moving services. Would not recommend.

Erin on the customer service side was wonderful to work with! She gave me all the information she could and also made sure that my issues were sent onto the proper person. Thanks Erin for all your help and for just being a super nice human on the other end of the phone.

The company responded to my inquiry right away and a rep came out to talk to me about converting our current system. He said he'd send me a bid, but I never heard from him again.

Washington Alarm has terrible customer service. We have a commercial account with five systems that are to be monitored and serviced by WA. You cannot contact a person. There is no named person to contact on their website, only departments. E-mails sent to a department do not get a response. If you do get a response, they promise service and there is no more contact.

You cannot call them. If they answer the phone after twenty minutes, they transfer you to the 'correct' person who does not answer within twenty minutes and there is no voice mail. Service calls are a mess. Techs do not know what they are supposed to do when they get here. You may get 'service' techs when you need 'inspection' techs. You may get lucky and they can do both, you may not.

Their business process seems to contribute to the confusion. They have five departments that do not talk to each other. They have at least three levels in the service department that just pass messages. There is no one responsible for a specific job, let alone for our account. If you want sales they will be right out. Otherwise - good luck.

I paid 15 K to have alarm installed at my business, took 9 months no communication, very little instruction, About once a month the alarm randomly breaks, causing a 115 dollar service call, repeated calls about an issue they are reporting to me but they cannot tell me what's wrong. Generally horrible customer service would not recommend and If I had to do over again I would have gone with my other alarm estimate, technology is not up to the same level of their competitors. If you have a choice go with someone else

We had our alarm system updated, Rob and Sal were very professional. They were on time, introduced themselves and kept me informed on their progress. Rob walked me through the use of the new panel features. Both of the guys were very friendly. I highly recommend!

This company is quick to charge you for something, but takes their time when it comes to meeting their own requirements. I was just charged an outrageous fee $175 and $17.86 sales tax because their installed system wasn't communicating with them. It took less than 30 seconds for the tech to fix the problem. They are required to come out annually and inspect my camera system and adjust and clean it. However, they haven't bothered.

Perhaps I should charge them $300 for their failure to upkeep the maintenance. I have ADT for my home, and the moment this contract is up with Washington Alarm, I will be switching to ADT. If you want to get ripped off - use Washington Alarm.

Washington Alarm is the absolute best! I had a pretty traumatizing event happen to me, intruders entered my house in December 2019. Washington Alarm promptly provided all of my alarm logs for the time period in question, they did everything possible to make me feel safe. The information they provided will be very useful when I go to court. For the 5 plus years I have had Washington Alarm's service my equipment functioned without issue, I was able to reach a real person (a local person) any time of the day or night and everyone was always pleasant, helpful and respectful.

I have decided to sale my house because of the traumatic experience I had in December with the intruders. Though I know that I am safe because of extra precautions taken, I can't get over the psychological impact the ordeal has had on me. I highly recommended to the new owners of my house that they continue the service with Washington Alarm. In my opinion this company is outstanding.

Without Washington Alarm, I would not have been able to hold the people responsible that broke into my house. There is no question if I ever need home security in the future which company I will be using, Washington Alarm.

Overpriced! Not just that, but during our time working with them, many of their staff members don't seem to know what's going on. I will not work with this company again for any of my upcoming businesses.

The house we bought had WA alarm company tech already installed so we made several calls to see about restoring service. After the 4th call and no response, we gave up. Not sure what the confusion was, but there seem to be more responsive companies who want our business.

We were extremely disappointed with Washington Alarm! We called on Thursday but didn't get a call back. Then four days later we sent an email and finally got a response. When the sales person came to our house all he did was draw a diagram and take some photos. He never even went over their equipment or monitoring services. Then to top it off he didn't send the estimate over when he said he would. How can you trust a security company to protect your home when they don't call you back or follow through when they say they will!

Completely ignored! We had their sales rep out to a house in need of an new alarm system and he promised to get back to us by Friday that week. 3 weeks later we've left him two messages, left the sales department two messages and even called to ask to a manager and left him a message both as a voicemail and as a written note from whoever answered the phone.

It was an easy sell and we were about to make a pretty big order with multiple devices and cameras that are now going to Absolute Alarm, another local company who actually answers the phone.

Our office has used this company for many years. We had a pressing scenario that required Washington Alarm to come out and inspect our sensors. Our technician Jason was such a help during our difficult scheduling issues with five other offices. He was patient, professional and understanding. Thanks to his skill set, we were able to get our certification to the city in record time! Thanks Washington Alarm for great service and hiring great people!

While the hardware/system in my home wasn't from Washington Alarm, my services and upgrades have been. I find their service personable and responsive, I've been treated very well whenever I've had needed assistance. I switched from a landline device to cellular and while one shouldn't rate a business on this, the installer was a total fox and the genuinely nicest service person I've ever worked with.

While it's always been user error (house sitters mostly) that has triggered alerts, I appreciate the prompt calls from their Seattle monitoring office. They have done a great job explaining what triggered it and my options.

Over the years Washington Alarm has completed many projects for us. As a security consulting firm, it is very important for us to find a reliable and knowledgeable business partner who we can trust and who we can rely on to assist our clients. We have found that and more with our business partnership with Washington Alarm. All of the Washington Alarm technicians are very friendly, professional, and trustworthy.

In addition, the alarm center staff is simply the best we have ever worked with. We will continue to partner with Washington Alarm and will continue to recommend them as the go-to alarm system company in the northwest region. -Madigan Security Consulting & Investigations, Inc.

It is so refreshing to work with an alarm company that is local. I get a real person every time I call. I don't have to wait through a million messages to talk to someone. Also the level of service I receive is fantastic. I have never worked with an alarm company that actually took the time to investigate why the alarms went off before I even called.

I use them for both my work as well as my home. It has been fantastic working with them and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to secure their home or business or school.

WA Alarm handles the security at our photography studio and has for years. We recently had to have our system updated and were very impressed at how efficiently they handled the process. We received updates via email regarding our ticket number and technician. They even sent us notification and a picture of the tech when he was on his way. It's great to know that our business is protected by such a professional company.

We had another alarm company, a big national chain. We switched to Washington Alarm to support a local company & thrilled we did. Their service was exceptional. We had a new home so lots of complexities. Their staff is very friendly, trustworthy & knowledgeable. Plus, they are extremely responsive. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

Since a detailed review was marked not recommended (take a look below, follow the link at the bottom of the reviews) - I'll be more succinct and less detailed. Washington alarm is troublingly vague with their quotes, has poor follow up, indicates that their systems are more expensive because they are up front with their pricing, then after install informs you that the equipment is "leased".

The installs have been troublesome and have had subcontractors out that don't know how to set up the systems properly. If this is the case you would be better off with a "National" company - they wont give any better service but at least you will get a $199 install with a 3 year agreement instead of a multi thousand dollar install that has a 3-year agreement and turns out to be a lease. I'm just very disappointed in Washington Alarm, with the continuing runaround in dealing with them in a service dispute.

Sales rep failed to follow up twice; on the original bid and later when we called to have their alarm installed. Talked with rep, who was going to call back in a couple hours with a date for installation, never heard back. That was it for us, if the company cannot follow through on the sale how would they be for service once installed. Don't waste your time with this company. We went with My Alarm Co. which did a terrific job on installation and service.
